Terms and Conditions of Use

Last Updated: July 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or otherwise using GRIP (the "Application"), including, where applicable, any updates, upgrades, premium features, subscriptions, associated websites, cloud integrations, documentation, or related services (collectively, the "Application"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and expressly agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions of Use (the "Terms").

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "User," "you," or "your") and the Licensor.

If you do not agree to every provision contained herein, you must immediately discontinue all use of the Application, uninstall it from all devices under your control, and refrain from accessing any Paid Services.

Your continued access to or use of the Application following the effective date of any revised version of these Terms shall constitute your acceptance of such revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

2. Eligibility and Global Compliance

You represent and warrant that:

(a) you have reached at least thirteen (13) years of age, or such higher minimum age as may be required under the laws of your country or jurisdiction for entering into legally binding agreements or for the lawful processing of personal data;

(b) you possess the full legal capacity and authority necessary to enter into and comply with these Terms;

(c) where you have not reached the age of legal majority, your parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and has expressly consented to your use of the Application;

(d) your access to and use of the Application will comply with all applicable laws, regulations, court orders, contractual obligations, export restrictions, sanction regimes, and governmental prohibitions applicable to you.

You further represent that you are not prohibited from using the Application under any applicable trade sanctions, export control laws, or other legal restrictions imposed by your jurisdiction of residence.

The User is solely responsible for determining whether access to and use of the Application is lawful in the jurisdiction from which it is accessed or used.

3. License Grant and Restrictions

Subject to your continuous and strict compliance with these Terms, the Licensor hereby grants you a limited, revocable, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install, access, and use the Application solely for lawful and non-commercial purposes.

No ownership rights, title, or intellectual property interests in or relating to the Application are transferred to the User.

Except as expressly permitted by applicable mandatory law, the User shall not, directly or indirectly:

(a) reproduce, duplicate, copy, distribute, publish, lease, rent, sublicense, assign, or commercially exploit the Application;

(b) modify, adapt, translate, merge, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, analytical models, or underlying architecture of the Application;

(c) remove, alter, obscure, or bypass any copyright notices, trademarks, security mechanisms, digital rights management technologies, licensing controls, or proprietary markings;

(d) use automated tools, bots, scripts, crawlers, scraping technologies, or other automated means to extract, reproduce, analyze, or republish any portion of the Application without the Licensor's prior written consent;

(e) use the Application in any manner that could impair, disrupt, compromise, degrade, overload, interfere with, or otherwise adversely affect the functionality, availability, integrity, security, or performance of the Application.

Any rights not expressly granted herein are hereby reserved exclusively by the Licensor.

Nothing contained in these Terms shall be construed as granting the User any implied license or other rights beyond those expressly set forth herein.

4. Paid Services, Subscriptions, and One-Time Purchases

The Application may offer optional paid features, including one-time purchases and, where made available by the Licensor, subscription-based services (collectively referred to as the "Paid Services").

The availability, scope, content, duration, functionality, pricing, and technical implementation of any Paid Services may vary depending on the version of the Application, the User's jurisdiction, device compatibility, applicable taxes, exchange rates, regional pricing policies, platform limitations, or other factors beyond the Licensor's reasonable control.

Billing and Payment Processing:

All purchases, subscriptions, payment processing, billing, tax collection, payment verification, fraud prevention, refunds, and related financial transactions are processed exclusively through Google Play, Apple App Store, or another officially authorized distribution platform through which the Application is lawfully distributed.

The Licensor neither stores nor processes the User's payment credentials and assumes no responsibility for payment processing services provided by such third-party platform operators.

Subscription Services:

Where offered by the Licensor, recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled by the User through the applicable platform before the renewal date in accordance with the platform's subscription management procedures.

The User bears sole responsibility for managing, modifying, or cancelling subscriptions.

Failure to cancel an active subscription shall not constitute grounds for any refund except where required by applicable mandatory law or the applicable platform's refund policy.

Where a material modification to an active subscription or the applicable Paid Services adversely affects the User’s access to or use of the subscribed functionality, the User may cancel or terminate the affected subscription through the applicable distribution platform and may exercise any additional remedies available under applicable mandatory law. Where required by applicable law, the User shall be informed of the modification, its effective date, and the available right to terminate the affected subscription.

One-Time Purchases:

A one-time purchase grants the User a personal, non-transferable license to access the corresponding paid functionality for as long as such functionality remains commercially offered and technically supported by the Licensor.

Nothing contained herein shall be construed as creating any obligation upon the Licensor to continue developing, maintaining, updating, supporting, or permanently making available any specific functionality, feature, or Paid Service.

Except where expressly required by mandatory applicable law or the refund policies of the applicable distribution platform, completed purchases of Paid Services are final and non-refundable.

By purchasing any Paid Service, the User expressly requests immediate access to the digital content supplied through the Application. The User acknowledges that such immediate access may affect any statutory withdrawal rights to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes to Paid Services:

The Licensor reserves the right, at its sole discretion and, where appropriate, upon reasonable notice, to modify, suspend, discontinue, replace, or remove any Paid Service, subscription plan, pricing structure, or paid functionality, provided that such modifications shall not affect rights already granted under applicable mandatory law.

Refunds shall be governed exclusively by applicable mandatory consumer protection legislation and the refund policies of the applicable distribution platform.

5. User-Generated Data and Third-Party Cloud Storage

Where such functionality is available, Users may create, store, export, or otherwise manage certain user-generated content, analytical scenarios, notes, configurations, or other data.

Ownership:

The User retains ownership of all User-generated content.

The User bears sole legal responsibility for the legality, accuracy, completeness, and use of such content.

Storage:

Depending on the functionality available within the Application, User-generated content may be stored locally on the User's device and/or exported directly to third-party cloud storage services selected by the User.

No Access:

The Licensor does not host, possess, monitor, review, moderate, analyse, index, decrypt, retrieve, recover, or otherwise access User-generated content stored outside the Licensor's own infrastructure.

The Licensor has neither the legal authority nor the practical or technical ability to access, recover, restore, or reconstruct User-generated content stored solely on the User's device or within third-party storage services.

Third-Party Cloud Services:

All third-party cloud storage providers operate independently from the Licensor.

The Licensor neither owns nor controls such services and makes no representations or warranties regarding their availability, security, continuity, performance, synchronization mechanisms, data retention policies, privacy practices, or cybersecurity measures.

User Responsibility:

The User remains solely responsible for:

(a) maintaining appropriate backups;

(b) managing synchronization settings;

(c) ensuring sufficient storage capacity;

(d) protecting account credentials;

(e) complying with the terms, privacy policies, and security requirements of third-party storage providers.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor expressly disclaims any liability arising from data loss, data corruption, synchronization failures, unauthorized access, deletion, security breaches, cybersecurity incidents, service interruptions, or any other event occurring within third-party storage infrastructure or the User's own devices.

6. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Conduct

The User shall use the Application responsibly, lawfully, and in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

Without limiting any restrictions contained elsewhere in these Terms, the User shall not:

(a) use the Application for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or malicious purpose;

(b) knowingly submit false, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise prohibited content through any functionality made available within the Application;

(c) attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with licensing mechanisms, access controls, security measures, or other protective features implemented within the Application;

(d) use the Application in any manner that infringes the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, contractual rights, or other legal rights of any third party;

(e) knowingly introduce malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, malicious code, or other harmful technologies into or through the Application;

(f) use the Application in any manner that could impair its lawful operation or interfere with the ability of other Users to access or use the Application where such functionality is available;

(g) rely upon the Application as the sole basis for commercial, financial, investment, governmental, military, emergency management, evacuation, or other significant real-world decisions.

The User remains solely responsible for all decisions, actions, consequences, and outcomes arising from the manner in which the Application and its analytical outputs are used or relied upon.

Any violation of this Section may result in suspension or termination of access to the Application and, where appropriate, any additional remedies available under applicable law.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The Application, together with all of its content, structure, design, functionality, source code, object code, visual elements, user interface, graphics, text, documentation, trademarks, logos, analytical models, structured data, software architecture, computational logic, and all related materials, is and shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Licensor or its respective licensors and is protected to the fullest extent permitted by applicable intellectual property laws.

Without limitation, the Licensor's intellectual property further includes the analytical methodology embodied within the Application, including the selection and organization of analytical factors, weighting systems, computational logic, scoring mechanisms, scenario structures, calibration methods, analytical models, conceptual frameworks, and related methodologies, irrespective of their technical implementation.

Nothing contained in these Terms shall be construed as transferring, assigning, licensing, or otherwise granting to the User any ownership rights or proprietary interests in or to the Application or any portion thereof, except for the limited license expressly granted under Section 3.

The User shall not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, commercialize, adapt, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit any protected element of the Application except as expressly permitted by applicable law or by the Licensor's prior written authorization.

All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are hereby reserved by the Licensor.

8. Computational Analysis and Informational Nature

The Application provides an analytical model that generates informational outputs based on predefined user-selected inputs, embedded analytical methodologies, and internally defined computational rules.

The outputs generated by the Application represent analytical interpretations produced by the Application's methodology. They do not constitute statements of fact, verified intelligence, professional assessments, predictions, forecasts, guarantees, or representations that any past, present, or future event has occurred, is occurring, or will occur.

The Application is intended to assist Users in exploring how predefined geopolitical factors may influence possible state reactions within selected geopolitical scenarios. It is not intended to model every category of real-world event, risk, crisis, or decision-making process.

The Application does not autonomously make decisions on behalf of the User and is not intended to replace independent judgment, governmental guidance, professional advice, security assessments, intelligence assessments, legal advice, financial or investment advice, commercial risk assessment, emergency planning, evacuation planning, or any other professional evaluation.

The User acknowledges that all outputs generated by the Application are informational and interpretative in nature and remain subject to the limitations of the underlying model, predefined assumptions, incomplete or changing information, user-selected inputs, evolving geopolitical conditions, unforeseen events, and human interpretation.

Different analytical models, methodologies, assumptions, factor selections, weightings, or inputs may produce different results. No output generated by the Application shall be treated as the sole or determinative basis for any significant real-world decision.

The User remains solely responsible for independently evaluating, interpreting, and verifying any output generated by the Application and for obtaining appropriate information or professional advice before acting upon it.

Nothing contained within the Application shall be construed as constituting automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects upon the User.

9. Limitation of Liability

Without limiting the provisions of Section 8 (Computational Analysis and Informational Nature), the User expressly acknowledges and agrees that all decisions made on the basis of, in reliance upon, or with reference to the Application, its analytical outputs, or any information generated thereby remain solely the User's own decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or other damages, including, but not limited to:

(a) financial losses;

(b) investment losses;

(c) commercial losses;

(d) business interruption;

(e) loss of profits;

(f) loss of revenue;

(g) loss of contracts;

(h) loss of opportunities;

(i) reputational damage;

(j) operational disruption;

(k) loss, corruption, or destruction of data;

(l) cybersecurity incidents;

(m) governmental actions;

(n) regulatory measures;

(o) evacuation costs;

(p) relocation expenses;

(q) property damage;

(r) personal inconvenience;

(s) emotional distress;

(t) or any other losses, damages, costs, liabilities, or expenses arising out of or relating to the use of, inability to use, reliance upon, interpretation of, or decisions made with reference to the Application.

The foregoing limitations shall apply regardless of the legal theory asserted, including, without limitation, contract, tort (including negligence), statutory liability, strict liability, or otherwise, even where the Licensor has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Licensor's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Application or any Paid Service shall in no event exceed the total amount actually paid by the User for the Application or the specific Paid Service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing contained in these Terms shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Without limiting Section 8 (Computational Analysis and Informational Nature), the Application and all Paid Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

The Licensor makes no representations or warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, regarding the availability, uninterrupted operation, accuracy, completeness, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, compatibility, security, or non-infringement of the Application.

The Licensor does not warrant that the Application will operate without interruption, be free from errors, defects, bugs, vulnerabilities, or harmful components, or that every technical issue will be identified or corrected.

The Licensor does not warrant that any analytical output generated by the Application will accurately reflect, predict, correspond to, or reliably anticipate actual geopolitical developments, state behaviour, future events, or real-world outcomes.

The User acknowledges that the Application constitutes an analytical model intended solely for informational and interpretative purposes and that no warranty is given regarding the correctness, completeness, usefulness, or practical suitability of any analytical output for any particular decision or purpose.

Nothing contained in this Section shall be construed as excluding or limiting any rights or remedies that the User may have under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws in respect of defects, non-conformity, or technical malfunction of the Application itself.

Nothing contained in these Terms shall exclude, restrict, or limit any warranty, guarantee, or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Licensor, its affiliates, successors, assigns, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and court costs) arising directly out of or relating to:

(a) the User's material breach of these Terms;

(b) the User's unlawful or unauthorized use of the Application;

(c) the User's infringement or alleged infringement of any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, contractual rights, or other legal rights of any third party;

(d) any unlawful content, materials, or information submitted, transmitted, exported, or otherwise made available by the User through the Application where such functionality is available.

This Section shall apply only to the extent that the relevant claim, loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense arises directly from the User's own acts or omissions and shall not be construed as imposing liability upon the User for matters beyond the User's reasonable control or for the Licensor's own acts or omissions.

Nothing contained in this Section shall exclude, restrict, or limit any rights or protections afforded to the User under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.

12. Termination

The Licensor reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to suspend or terminate the User's access to the Application or any portion thereof, with or without prior notice where reasonably practicable, if the User materially breaches these Terms, engages in unlawful use of the Application, or where such suspension or termination is otherwise required or justified by applicable law.

The Licensor may also suspend, discontinue, or permanently withdraw the Application or any Paid Services, in whole or in part, including where continued operation is no longer commercially, technically, or legally feasible. Nothing in this Section shall affect any rights already granted to the User under applicable mandatory law.

The User may terminate these Terms at any time by permanently discontinuing all use of the Application and uninstalling it from all devices under the User's control. Where applicable, active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the relevant distribution platform.

Upon termination:

(a) all rights granted to the User under these Terms shall immediately cease;

(b) the User shall discontinue all use of the Application;

(c) the User shall not retain or continue to use the Application except where continued use is permitted under applicable law.

Termination or expiration of these Terms shall not affect any provisions which, by their nature or purpose, are intended to survive termination, including, without limitation, provisions relating to intellectual property, limitations of liability, disclaimers, indemnification, governing law, dispute resolution, and any other provisions that are intended to remain in effect.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.

Authoritative Language:

The English-language version of these Terms shall be the sole legally binding version.

Any translation is provided solely for the convenience of Users. In the event of any discrepancy, inconsistency, ambiguity, translation error, or conflict between the English-language version and any translated version, the English-language version shall prevail and exclusively govern the interpretation of these Terms.

Good-Faith Resolution:

Before commencing formal legal proceedings, the parties shall make reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Application, or any Paid Services through good-faith negotiations.

Jurisdiction:

Subject to mandatory applicable consumer protection laws, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Application, or any Paid Services shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts of Finland.

Nothing contained in these Terms shall deprive the User of any mandatory rights granted under applicable consumer protection legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Finnish law.

14. User-Licensor Relationship

Nothing contained in these Terms or arising from the use of the Application shall be construed as creating any partnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary relationship, advisory relationship, consultancy relationship, advisory services agreement, employment relationship, brokerage relationship, or any other special legal or fiduciary relationship between the User and the Licensor.

The Licensor acts solely as the developer and provider of software and related digital services.

No fiduciary duties, professional duties of care, contractual advisory obligations, or continuing obligations to monitor geopolitical developments are assumed by the Licensor except where expressly required by applicable mandatory law.

The User further acknowledges that no communication, correspondence, technical support, support response, documentation, analytical output, software update, feedback response, or other interaction with the Licensor shall be interpreted as constituting individualized professional advice, consultancy services, legal, financial, security, geopolitical, or other professional recommendations, or as creating any continuing contractual obligation beyond those expressly set forth in these Terms.

15. Changes to the Application and these Terms

The Licensor reserves the right, at any time and in its sole discretion, to modify, update, suspend, discontinue, replace, or remove any part of the Application, its functionality, features, analytical methodologies, computational models, supported platforms, pricing, Paid Services, or related documentation.

The Licensor may also amend these Terms from time to time where reasonably necessary, including, without limitation, to reflect changes in applicable law, regulatory requirements, technical developments, security considerations, business operations, functionality of the Application, or the introduction, modification, or discontinuation of features or Paid Services.

Material amendments shall become effective upon publication within the Application, through the applicable distribution platform, or on the official website designated by the Licensor.

Minor editorial corrections, typographical corrections, bug fixes, security updates, technical improvements, and changes required by applicable law may become effective immediately where reasonably appropriate.

Continued use of the Application following the effective date of such amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Where mandatory applicable law requires advance notice or grants the User additional rights in connection with material amendments, such mandatory provisions shall prevail.

If recurring subscription services are offered and the User does not agree with material amendments that substantially affect such subscription, the User may discontinue the subscription before the next renewal period without further recurring charges, subject to the cancellation procedures of the applicable distribution platform.

Nothing in this Section shall be interpreted as creating any obligation on the Licensor to continue developing, maintaining, updating, supporting, or making available any specific feature or version of the Application.

16. Third-Party Services

The Application may, where applicable, interact with, rely upon, or be distributed through third-party software, cloud infrastructure, application stores, payment processors, operating systems, communication networks, mapping services, authentication providers, storage providers, analytics services, or other third-party services.

The Licensor neither owns nor controls such third-party services and makes no representations or warranties regarding their availability, functionality, security, performance, accuracy, compatibility, or continued operation.

The Licensor shall not be liable for any interruption, suspension, modification, malfunction, incompatibility, security incident, data loss, payment failure, service outage, or other event attributable to any third-party service.

The User acknowledges that the use of third-party services may be governed by separate agreements, privacy policies, and terms established by the respective third-party providers.

Nothing contained in these Terms shall be construed as imposing liability upon the Licensor for acts or omissions of independent third parties, except to the extent required by applicable mandatory law.

17. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or other competent authority to be unlawful, invalid, void, unenforceable, or held to be partially unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

Any unlawful, invalid, void, or unenforceable provision shall, where legally permissible, be interpreted, limited, or modified so as to achieve, as nearly as possible, the original legal and commercial intent of the Parties while remaining enforceable under applicable law.

Failure by the Licensor to enforce any provision of these Terms at any time shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of the right to enforce it at any later time.

No waiver shall be effective unless expressly made in writing by the Licensor.
